Chemical Properties: Light yellow powder. Slight propionic acid taste, less irritating.
Uses: Calcium Propionate Wet Acid Anticorrosion Agent. Its bacteriostatic effect is affected by environment PH. The bacteriostatic concentration was 0.01% at PH5.0 and 0.5% in PH6.5. In the acid medium to all kinds of mold, aerobic bacillus or gram-negative bacilli by strong inhibition. It is effective in preventing the production of aflatoxin, but almost ineffective in yeast.
